Hello, lovelies! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. I was off work, so I enjoyed time at church with family and friends. I always feel like I go into the week with a better attitude when I go to church. It seems to just give me a refreshed perspective for the week! Does anyone else feel that way? So anyway, this warm weather we’ve been having recently has gotten me so excited for summer and all the fun fashion trends that come with it. Summer Trends

Summer Staples:

There’s always a few staple items that everyone should have in their closets come summer! Tennessee summers are definitely hot and humid, so clothing that helps you stay cool is a must. A good pair of denim shorts will always be a summer staple. H&M has a variety of different styles and washes for a reasonable price. I’m all about high-rise denim right now, so I linked some of my top picks down below. I think it’s always good to have a distressed pair of denim as well. You can’t beat a pair of distressed shorts and an oversized tee. It gives off total “cool girl” vibes without any effort…what more could you want?! Speaking of oversized tees, I think it’s always a good idea to have a couple different colors and styles on hand. I found the cutest graphic tee that has a watermelon it, which just screams summer to me! It also comes in a pineapple print! A fun, flowy printed blouse is a great way to stay cool while still looking cute! You can get a printed top in any style, but I think the cold-shoulder trend is a fun way to mix things up. Target has really stepped up their game lately when it comes to clothing, so don’t forget about them when shopping for your summer staples!

Urban Wear:

This summer, we’re going to see a lot of urban style transformed into everyday wear. Think city inspired looks with a casual spin on them! This is actually something I’m really excited about. I think it’s different and fun. It’s definitely not a style I’ve ever tried before, but I’m ready to embrace something new! H&M has some super cute pieces to help you ease into the urban trend. Embroidery

Ahhh…possibly my favorite spring/summer trend so far! Embroidery is such a fun way to add some color and pattern to your outfit. I love how different pieces can give you a completely different style. Some embroidery is super cute and girly, while other pieces can give off major boho vibes. When thinking about embroidery, it doesn’t have to be in-your-face bright, crazy prints. Wrap Dresses

Say hello to the new and improved sundress! Wrap dresses are everywhere right now. I love the throw-on-and-go aspect of them. Dresses are just so easy in the summer, and the wrap dress is no different.
